“What drew me to this piece (Dama del Desierto) was the technique and the deep sensitivity with which Natalia portrayed a woman who gave everything for the study of our Peruvian culture.
What motivated me to bring it home was everything — from the result of the piece itself to the personal connection I have with María Reiche. I live right in front of a park that bears her name, where the Nazca Lines are drawn and illuminated throughout the gardens.
